SoulPlayMates is a boutique 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
dedicated to helping people understand their dogs, and all animals,
in a more natural, holistic and soulful way.
Founders of SoulPlayMates - Amanda Ringnalda and Maya
(the cockapoo who inspired Amanda's work with Ayurveda for Dogs)
Amanda Ringnalda is a lead educator of meditation, Ayurveda (the mind/body healing science of the East) and yoga. She serves in a leadership role at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in Carlsbad, California as vice-president of client services and she hosts many of the Center’s large live events.
For over a decade Amanda has studied closely under Chopra Center co-founders, Drs. Deepak Chopra and David Simon, and gleaned wisdom from countless other luminaries who have come through the Center over the past decade. She has completed certifications in Primordial Sound Meditation, Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga, as well as 200- and 500-hour yoga certifications from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers. In her leadership role at the Chopra Center, she guides and collaborates with the staff to create spectacular experiences that fulfill Deepak’s mission of mass mindfulness.
Amanda’s first yoga practice in 1996 awakened a deep connection to the timeless Vedic teachings. As she learned more, her heart expanded and mind eased. Quickly she knew she’d spend the rest of her life practicing and sharing the wisdom of yoga, meditation and Ayurveda.
Growing up working at the family’s pet-store business in Lake Tahoe, California, the life-long animal-lover always felt an especially deep and soulful connection to dogs. After discovering a passion for the practices of Ayurveda later in her life, Amanda began exploring ways the timeless life-wisdom could support vibrant health, balance and wellbeing for dogs too! She teaches classes on Ayurveda for Dogs and founded a non-profit organization called "SoulPlayMates" which focuses on dog wellbeing education, dog rescue, and animal advocacy.
Amanda lives in North County San Diego with her beloved husband, Rene, and at least a handful (plus:) of happy dogs.
